In just one word ‘spectacular!’

18 unforgettable signature holes

Hole 1

Par 5 – 389 to 544 yards

Generous landing areas on this opening par-5 reward conservative play with an easy par, while aggressive tee shots will bring the pond on the left into play. A three-bunker complex patrols short right of the green, while a single small trap guards the front left.  As with many green sites at Seguin Valley, trouble lurks on shots that airmail the putting surface—in this case a grassy marsh.

Hole 2

Par 4 – 232 to 390 yards

Leave the driver in the bag, as the further you go, the more blind your approach shot over a large swale to the flag. Leaving yourself a 120- to 130-yard approach will provide a flattish lie and mostly unobscured view
of the green, which slopes back to front. There’s very little room to miss either left or right, however. A deep bunker guards the front right, although it often saves many a ball from bounding right and into the woods.

Hole 3

Par 4 – 273 to 398 yards

There’s a premium on finding the short grass off the tee, since layups will have to be worked into a thin neck of fairway. A thumb of fairway sits beyond the rock outcropping on the left, but since there’s a
marsh beyond that, players are advised to target the right side with their drives. A rock formation means trouble short and right of this raised green, which topples away in all directions, but there is room to bail out on the left. The putting surface is two-tiered —right to left—so hitting the proper side is essential.

Hole 4

Par 4 – 102 to 188 yards

This hole plays half a club less. There is more trouble behind the green than in the front.

Hole 5

Par 5 – 420 to 605 yards

Favour the left side of the fairway with your tee shot, as the fairway slopes to the right.  From 150 yards in, take an extra club.

Hole 6

Par 4 – 262 to 391 yards

The longer your drive, the easier your second shot will be.  Right centre of the fairway is ideal.

Hole 7

Par 3 – 83 to 212 yards

Take an extra two clubs and hit it smooth.  A quick prayer before you tee it up never hurts.

Hole 8

Par 4 – 305 to 418 yards

Favour the right side of the fairway with your tee shot.  Your approach shot should finish short of the pin.

Hole 9

Par 4 – 238 to 469 yards

A good drive is played down the left side.  Play your approach shot to the left side of the green.

Hole 10

Par 4 – 402 to 578 yards

Play it as a three shot par 5.  Some good advice to stay out of trouble.  Avoid the right.  Avoid the left.  You know what?  Just keep it down the centre.

Hole 11

Par 4 – 227 to 314 yards

Be smart when playing this hole.  Avoid the temptation to go for the green.

Hole 12

Par 3 – 118 to 184 yards

This is the highest point of the golf course.  You need an extra club to reach the green.

Hole 13

Par 4 – 215 to 334 yards

A 3 wood off the tee is a good choice. An extra club on your approach shot will help get you to the green.

Hole 14

Par 3 – 87 to 238 yards

The hole has a large, two tier green.  It is important to land your tee shot on the right level.

Hole 15

Par 4 – 221 to 321 yards

Tee shots landing left of the fairway will kick into the hazard.  Going for the green with your tee shot is not a wise choice.

Hole 16

Par 4 – 277 to 398 yards

An accurate tee shot to the middle of the fairway leaves you with an approach shot uphill that requires an extra 2 clubs.

Hole 17

Par 4 – 290 to 377 yards

A short, narrow hole.  Choose the club that will keep you in play.  Play your approach shot short of the pin and laugh at your buddy who doesn’t.

Hole 18

Par 4 – 123 to 255 yards

A drive to the middle of the fairway is critical.  Take an extra half club for your approach shot and favour the right side of the green.

As we have begun to reflect on the success of our golf tournament last year, we realized that we never reached out to thank you for your amazing hospitality, service, and endless help in putting together such an amazing golf weekend. You and the team couldn't have been more kind and helpful, and even though I'm sure we were a handful at times, you always made us feel welcome. From the course history lesson upon arrival, chatting with Mike in the clubhouse, the food, golf, and cabins all far exceeded our expectations and would love to be back next year if you would have us. If in any way you would like a formal review for your website or social media we would be happy to provide a glowing one! We hope your off season is going well, and hope to see you next summer!

Cheers!

Golf here the first summer they opened, after opening the remaining holes the following year, ownership changes etc the course has remained in tip top shape. Always a test of patience not only in the fairways but on some greens that will test the best. Highly recommend playing the course and taking the time to enjoy nature at its best.

I played here for the first time today. Started off great not expecting the premium chauffeur service to the clubhouse. Everyone was very friendly. The course layout is very nice yet challenging, with very picturesque surroundings especially #7 which wouldn't be that bad of a shot except for the wind but very nice to say the least. I only was able to play 9 but recommend any golfer visit Seguin and if i'm ever back in the area, will definitely play it again!

This is a wonderful course. After two humbling rounds and upon careful reflection this is a quiet serene piece of natural Northern Ontario golf with plentiful challenges that I would recommend to any golfer. I stayed at one of the cottages on the property and must say waking up to this beautiful piece of Canadiana with lakes and loons was just about perfect!
